Mid century wood and smoke glass coffee table. In the manner of Afra(1937-2011) and Tobia(1935 - Current) Scarpa. Sourced outside of Milan, Italy.
Tobia and Afra Scarpa, a prolific Italian couple and design team, met pursuing architecture degrees at the University of Venice. The two graduated together in 1969 and swiftly began designing in tandem. They are known for their industrial interiors and postmodern, ergonomically-oriented yet elegant furniture, lighting, and glasswork. Their iconic designs are now on display around the world, including four items in the permanent collection at the MoMA.
